Welcome to Homeschool Special Ed!
My name is Tracy and I am fairly new at homeschooling. I worked for a homeschool company as a special educator, and am now homeschooling my own son. I have a new respect for families that have made the conscious decision to do so. This website is for parents with children with disabilities who may need some advise or guidance during their journey. I have currently submitted for a grant through the US Department of Education to help support this website and parents who homeschool their special needs children. With the help of a dear friend who has the same experience and educational background, we thought we could make a difference by offering our knowledge in the field of special education to anyone who requires a little more help. Please know that this website is continually under construction until we get notice for the grant. That is suppose to happen in March of 2010. So wish us luck!
